E3 2019 - A Love Letter to a Zelda Fan Like Me

The biggest thing to look forward to in June for me (other than my younger brothers birthday) is E3. Today, Nintendo had their direct and once again, they've rocked the fans with The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening Remake, Smash Ultimate DLC, and of course, the shocking teaser of the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Sequal.

As a fan of Zelda for over 15 years, I couldn't be more excited. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild was an amazing game, but it has so much more potential than I could ever imagine. Looking at the extremely dark and twisted tone and imagery of the newly announced sequal, its looking very promising that it will realize it its full potential. The Links Awakening Remake will be a perfect appetizer for the huge full course meal that will (hopefully) come in 2020. Because the game is re-using assets from the previous main console entry, I'm confident this game is not as far off as we think.
